Loparex Poland Receives ISO 9001 Certificate

March 19, 2008

Loparex’s Printing and Slitting Terminal in Poland has received the ISO 9001 certificate in early March. This certificate confirms that the Terminal’s management system complies with the ISO 9001 standard.

"The certificate was issued after a detailed audit conducted in February by auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification", explains Loparex Poland’s Managing Director Jarek Gajdulewicz. "We are very happy for this official acknowledgement. It demonstrates that our production, processes and service are managed and developed in the right way. Our aim is to service Loparex’s customers in the best possible way - offering top quality siliconised release liners and flexible, reliable service."

The policy in Loparex is to implement an extensive quality management system in each production unit of the Group, and to have these systems certified. "This is important for us internally, but it is also important for our customers. With the certified system, they know that all Loparex’s production units are managed according to same high-quality principles", says Loparex Europe’s Sales and Marketing Director Gaby Brams.

In addition to Bureau Veritas’ audit, Loparex’s Printing and Slitting Terminal has been audited by several customers since the opening of the unit in 2006. "The purpose of these audits is to establish the Terminal’s readiness to sufficiently meet our customers strict individual requirements", Business Director Heikki Lehtonen comments. "We have obtained very good results and our Terminal has been approved by all main customers."

Loparex’s Terminal currently operates seven days a week. It employs 25 persons and converts 450-500 tons of siliconised LOPASIL™ ESP release papers monthly. Most of the products are supplied to Hygiene product and Envelope manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe.
