Michael Apperson Appointed CEO of Loparex Group
Mr. Michael William Apperson, 43, has been appointed president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Loparex Group as of 12 May, 2008. He will succeed Mr Pentti Kallio, Loparex Group's CEO since 1 September 2005, who will become member of the Loparex Group Supervisory Board.
Before joining Loparex Mike Apperson worked for American Fibers and Yarns (AFY) since 2001 as President and CEO. Prior to American Fibers and Yarns, Mike was the President and CEO of Kidde Safety and held a variety of business leadership positions in DuPont and Honeywell. He has a Chemical Engineering degree from Clemson University and a General Management Degree from Harvard Business School.

Loparex Group is a global manufacturer of siliconised release papers and films. After the sale of above mentioned production units to Mondi, announced 14 April 2008, the Loparex Group will consist of Loparex LLC with operations in the USA, the Netherlands, China and India. Loparex's proforma 2008 revenue is estimated to be 270 Mio Euros and the group will employ 1100 people.
