Loparex Launches New Medical Speciality Papers
LOPAWHITE Medi and LOPAFLEX Medi are the newest additions to Loparex's Speciality Papers product line. These high-quality sterilization paper grades have been developed for sterile medical and healthcare product packaging.
According to Business Director Pertti Romppainen, demand for medical products and sterilization papers is growing rapidly. With LOPAWHITE Medi and LOPAFLEX Medi, Loparex offers new high-quality alternatives to the market.
The product range includes dedicated grades for ethylene oxide, irradiation and steam sterilization methods:

"In Medical Industry, paper characteristics such as cleanliness, strength, porosity, wet strength properties and water absorption levels are all very strictly specified. LOPAWHITE Medi and LOPAFLEX Medi meet these requirements and comply with the international ISO 11607, EN 868-6 (Paper for Ethylene Oxide / Irradiation Sterilization) and EN 868-3 (Paper for Steam Sterilization) standards, and also with ISO 10993-5: Cytotoxicity", explains R&D Director Petri Niemi. "In addition, these papers have excellent sealability, peelability and printability properties."

Loparex's Speciality Papers are manufactured in the company's paper and converting plant in Lohja, Southern Finland. All products are FDA and BfR approved, and the plant is operated under ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14000 (Environment) and ISO 22000 (Hygiene) systems. Only high-quality, virgin wood fibres are used in the pulp mix. Continuous testing, analysis and quality control is practised on each run by Loparex's own, fully equipped laboratory.
