Loparex Announces September Surcharge Amount

(Willowbrook, IL, USA) - In June of this year, Loparex announced that we would be initiating an index-based surcharge that would be adjusted up or down by a factor 0.786 of the change in the Producer Price Index for Intermediate Materials, Supplies and Components (ID Series: WPUSOP2000, www.bls.gov/ppi) from the March 2008 baseline (184.1 at the time the surcharge was instituted) to the month of shipment.

The September PPI figure has been release by the U.S. government: 198.7.  The surcharge for the October 25^th -November 24^th   timeframe will be 6.23%.  This rate will apply to all Loparex products shipped during this period. 

Surcharge Calculation:  (198.7 / 184.1) - 1 x 100 = 7.93% x 0.786 = 6.23%
